This research paper examines the impact of Yoga teachers on the development of sports skills among school students in Hisar, Haryana. Utilizing a descriptive survey design, the study collected data from 100 students and their respective Yoga teachers to evaluate the effectiveness of teacher-led interventions, motivational strategies, and pedagogical methods. The study tested five null hypotheses using statistical tools such as t-tests and ANOVA.
Key findings indicate that Yoga teachers play a statistically significant role in sports skill acquisition, as evidenced by the rejection of the null hypothesis (t=4.21, p<0.05). Furthermore, teacher motivation and encouragement were found to be critical factors in increasing student participation rates (rejected, t=2.41, p<0.05). However, the study found no significant disparity between students and teachers in perceptions of teaching methods or in the consistency of guidance. A pre-test/post-test analysis demonstrated a substantial improvement in students' skill scores from 55.4 to 72.6 (t=12.45), confirming the efficacy of structured Yoga programs. The paper concludes that while the role of teachers is paramount, its success depends on the integration of modern technology, individualized coaching, and institutional support.
