Global diversity is increasing, societies are becoming more diverse in the 21st century, and inclusive education has become a more pressing issue. SDG-4 should be incorporated into all education systems that promote equity, meet the needs of diverse learners and provide quality education to all learners. This paper examines the changing nature of inclusive education and equity in learning in relation to changes in technology. It critically analyses global policies such as the UN Convention on the Rights of People with Disabilities (CRPD) and SDG-4 that promote inclusive education as a fundamental human right. The world has changed already, but there are still big obstacles. The main problems are socioeconomic inequality, cultural and linguistic diversity, and a lack of teacher training. Furthermore, the digital divide that exists prevents equal access to technology, thereby limiting opportunities for marginalised students. Technology enables personalised learning processes that promote equitable development. The role of assistive technologies in this process is described as one of the critical tools in the development of inclusion. Such inclusive educational environments need to grow with the involvement of teachers and communities. Policymakers need to make schools financially fairly balanced. They need to adopt anti-discrimination actions. They also need to promote and advocate for inclusive school cultures. In conclusion, this paper suggests policy-level systemic changes and future studies to solve the difficulties and to guarantee educational equity to all the learners.
